Error Codes coming out my ass..
Got errror 81000490?
Well this is the second time I have had this horrible block on the service.
Fortunately it has a quick and easy fix, so all you do is go here:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts
Close WLM, IE, Everything related to it... and end the WLCOMM.EXE task in the processes,And delete the associated folder with your account, for example:
cakeisalie@hotmail.co.uk
-You may need to enable HIDDEN FOLDERS to see it...
Once deleted you should be able to log in!
Hurrah!

Last time I had a hellova time getting the msngr back up and running. MS support site gave a whole page of things to do which took a long time.

This was ridiculous! There was nothing in the folder, nothing at all, I have show hidden and system files turned on (you have to to get there actually) and the folder was empty, deleted it, launch WLM again, poof logged in in 3 seconds.... sense.. this doesnt make any o.O
